SODEV International is the brainchild of Ms. Félicité Ahoéfa Adjahouinou, a Beninese who believes that there is nothing more important in the world than serving marginalized communities. In 2000, she turned her thoughts into action. For Ms. Adjahouinou, the goal is to enable disadvantaged people and communities so that they can effectively and sustainably provide for themselves. Currently residing in the United States, she pursues with determination her dream of becoming another voice of the poor in her native area of Benin by working with passion for the improvement of their living conditions.
Ms. Kathy Deboe was born in Washington, D.C., USA where she still resides. After retiring from the International Monetary Fund, Ms. Deboe has spent her time serving vulnerable people and has become known for her magnanimity, her humility and her constant availability to serve. At SODEV, she performs various tasks as a member of the Board of Directors and her experience and contribution are highly appreciated.
Ms. Fatimata Sy, a World Bank employee in Washington, D.C. is concerned with improving the living conditions of deprived communities. According to Ms. Sy, "Working for the poorest sections of society should be the mission of any government and citizen concerned about developing their country". In addition to the World Bank, Ms. Sy advocates for vulnerable people in other development organizations. At SODEV, Ms. Sy brings her knowledge and all enthusiasm as a member of the Board of Directors.
Mr. Chifundo Moya, currently an employee of the International Monetary Fund in Washington, D.C. has been assisting us for several years with various tasks. A man of integrity and humility, Mr. Moya is very sensitive to the harsh realities of poor people which explains his attachment and loyalty to SODEV International. We are pleased with his work and glad that he is a member of our team.
In recent years, Mr. Guy-Thierry Sossou has been the national coordinator of our organization in Benin. He contributes to improving the living conditions of marginalized populations in different functions by providing the institution with experience in personnel management and project implementation. Mr. Sossou is a good leader, always at the service of the organization and of his team.
Nicknamed "The Dean" by his colleagues because of the length of his career at our office in Benin, Mr. Arnaud Gandonou is very committed to the cause of helping vulnerable people and marginalized communities. He shines with his loyalty, his love for work, his flexibility, his sense of respect and his ability to work in a team. Since his recruitment, Mr. Gandonou has been very versatile, working in different positions. He supervised the execution of projects in numerous villages.
Mr. Roland Djakpo serves as an accountant and project assistant. He ensures the smooth running of accounting through traceability, transparency of all financial transactions and their records. He also takes care of other tasks such as writing training sheets, facilitating training sessions in accounting, participating in literacy awareness missions for learners and local elected officials in our rural communities. Very professional, Mr. Djakpo brings to our organization a very appreciated contribution.
Mr. Gratien Ahotongbé joined our national office in 2016. He works there as a courier and at the same time performs various administrative tasks. Creative and open-minded, Mr. Ahotongbé is a young man who always gives the best of himself. This makes it pleasant to have him on our team.
Ms. Dossi Avitimè has been overseeing SODEV's agricultural activities for several years. Very experienced in planting and harvesting, Ms.. Avitimè accomplishes her tasks with a lot of dedication. She visits the fields and reports regularly to her immediate supervisor. She plays a crucial role in the implementation of our agricultural projects.
